Nicky Hind's triptych for three female voices – The Gentle (with vibraphone), The Well (with electronics), and The Joyous (with Harp) – will be performed by Scottish Voices (cond. Graham Hair) on August 30 at the University of Glasgow Chapel. The concert forms part of a series of music research conferences, in which Nicky Hind will also give a talk on the triptych and his views on composing.

Seven Visions is a collection of dreamy, hypnotic electroacoustic and electronic minimalism. The album features compositions for solo instruments plus electronics (guitar, drums…), and for electronics only.

…a remarkably accomplished piece…a treat from beginning to end, but 'A Far Cry', which tells of the yearning for a distant loved one, and the spook-filled 'The Dead Of Night' are particular stand outs.
